Your daily duties may include…
Taking x-rays and CAT scans for diagnosing purposes. Adjusting equipment; determining proper voltage, current and desired exposure time; arranging immobilization and support devices to obtain position of patient; adjusting lead shield; selecting proper film; and developing the film. They may also administer nonradioactive materials into a patient’s blood stream. Cleaning and disinfecting X-ray room and equipment in preparation for the next patient is important.
